When people compare vehicle turntable cost, they often start with diameter. In practice, the larger shifts usually come from how the turntable has to be installed, how difficult the site is to work on, and how integrated the finished result needs to be.
Two projects can use similar-sized equipment and still have very different scopes. One may suit a straightforward installation on an existing slab. Another may involve excavation, retained edges, tighter access, more demanding vehicle geometry or a finish that needs to disappear into the architecture.
The useful way to talk about cost is therefore to separate the variables instead of treating every turntable as the same product in a different driveway.

A more integrated installation can produce a flush architectural result, but it asks more of the surrounding slab, pit and finishing work. That difference is often more meaningful than a small change in nominal diameter.

Design for the real vehicle, not the hopeful one
Pricing becomes misleading if the turntable is scoped around the easiest-case vehicle. If the driveway is already constrained, the project should be read around the real vehicle envelope, approach angle and circulation pattern. A specification that is technically cheaper but awkward to use is not the cheaper solution in practice.
This is why the cost conversation usually overlaps with wider vehicle turntable planning. Size, access and finish need to be considered together.

- How much of the existing driveway, slab and landscaping should remain untouched?
- What vehicle size should the turntable support now and over the next several years?
- Does the finished platform need to disappear into the driveway or can it remain visibly engineered?
- Is the main goal easier entry, safer exit, reduced construction disruption, or a combination of those things?
